Who I Am

I'm Tomas Radvansky, born on July 23, 1988, in Kosice, Slovakia. I'm a passionate software developer with a love for crafting scalable, cross‑platform applications that solve meaningful problems. Over the past decade, I've specialised in Flutter and Firebase to deliver seamless mobile and web experiences. My backend expertise is built on Node.js Cloud Functions written in TypeScript, allowing me to create efficient, real‑time solutions. I thrive in test‑driven environments and embrace CI/CD practices with GitHub Actions to ensure every project is production‑ready.

My Journey

My academic journey began at Gymnazium Trebisovska 12, where I honed my skills in computing, programming, and networking, graduating in 2007. I then pursued General Medicine at the University of Pavol Jozef Safarik, graduating alongside my wife, Iveta Radvanska, in 2013. Together, we moved to the United Kingdom to pursue our careers.

During my final year of medical studies (May 2012 - June 2013), I ventured into software development as a part-time Junior iOS Mobile Developer at Celum GmbH, contributing to their digital assets management service. This marked my transition into technology.

From September 2013 to April 2014, I worked as a Junior Mobile Developer at Touch-Soft Limited in Manchester, UK, developing iOS native video players and applications for fine art collectors.

After obtaining my GMC qualification, I practiced as a Junior FAS Foundation Doctor at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent (April 2014 - January 2015), gaining experience in obstetrics & gynecology and breast surgery.

Seeking better work-life balance and remote opportunities, I returned to mobile development. From January 2015 to December 2015, I worked at DNXcorp in Malta, developing dating applications for iOS & Android platforms.

In 2016, I joined Idox Health (formerly 6PM Solutions) as a Mobile/Hybrid Software Developer, enhancing healthcare services until February 2018 using Ionic, Angular, and native plugins.

From 2014 to 2018, I pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Computing remotely at the Open University in the UK to facilitate immigration processes and broaden my skill set.

Upon returning to New Zealand, I served as Technical Architect at Bullrush Apps (May 2018 - July 2020), spearheading technical innovations and transitioning from legacy technologies to native iOS and Android development.

From July 2020 to January 2022, I worked as Technical Architect at Logmate Limited, developing digital logbook solutions for NZ drivers and ridesharing companies.

From May 2022 to October 2023, I contributed to Carv, a Meeting Intelligence Platform, utilizing Flutter, Firebase, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

From November 2023 to January 2024, I provided new architecture for ElevenLabs' mobile application, written in Flutter and supported by Firebase for voice cloning and content uploads.

Current Projects & Work

After the ElevenLabs project, I focused on developing my own applications. I created Backyard Hunt, a mobile app for creating and playing treasure/scavenger hunts using QR codes, designed to make family time, school events, museum visits, and playdates more engaging through interactive discovery trails.

I also built Click Defeat, a mobile app designed to help players improve their tapping speed, accuracy, and reaction time through various challenge modes including tap challenges, reaction tests, and accuracy & speed modes.

Additionally, I developed Backlink Space, a web-based SEO tool for analyzing and managing backlinks, helping website owners and SEO professionals monitor backlink quality, source relevance, and improve search engine rankings.

I continued contracting for PositionTech, maintaining their existing applications while expanding my expertise in AI and Large Language Models. This upskilling journey led to the creation of Asynchor, a SaaS platform for thought management, collaboration, and well-being that combines personal journaling, AI-powered processing, and team collaboration into one system. Founded by R-DEV Limited in New Zealand, Asynchor acts like a social network for personal growth and team efficiency, allowing users to dictate daily updates which are then transcribed, summarized, and organized by AI into searchable topics for distributed teams and individuals.

Since October 2024, I have been employed full-time working on OMJ - OhMyJobs.com, a marketplace application that replaces traditional temp agencies. Built with Flutter and Firebase, the platform leverages Vertex AI for AI-powered features including candidate assessment and shift management, revolutionizing how temporary employment is handled in the digital age.

Carv – AI Recruitment Platform

Carv is an AI recruitment platform ("one platform, 3 modules, 16 AI tools for recruiters"). At Carv, I was responsible for the initial rewrite from React to Flutter with a Firebase backend on Google Cloud Platform. I introduced and practiced Test‑Driven Development (TDD), and set up CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions. I contributed through to the public web release. I also delivered initial mobile app release candidates; the business later pivoted to a web‑only SaaS, so the mobile apps were not released.

Throughout my career, I have consistently sought opportunities for growth and innovation, leveraging my diverse skill set and entrepreneurial spirit to drive positive change in the technology landscape.
